The IdeaStor line of storage systems consist of IdeaStor 8000 and 7000 series of disk arrays and the Ideastor Storage Servers. All products have been designed to provide the utmost in reliability, versatility and excellent price/performance for today's SAN environments.

Ideastor disk array features:

IdeaStor 8000R is a powerful Storage Area Network disk array solution that is end-to-end designed with fibre channel technology to meet the growing demands of the enterprise and mid-range server market. With dual fibre channel drive channels and four fibre channel host ports it supports many Terabytes of storage capacity. It features sophisticated RAID technologies, a high performance RAID engine and comprehensive firmware functionality derived from years of experience in storage design.

Designed for demanding SAN environments, the IdeaStor 8000R series can be configured and deployed with full redundancy of critical active components. All back-end PCBs are passive. Critical components are duplicated and hot-swappable, including power supply units and cooling modules.

The Java-based RAID GUI manager provides easy-to-use interfaces, is rich in configuration options, and allows users to remotely manage their storage system over a network. Event Monitor and Notification Processing Center (NPC) software modules provide system managers the freedom of real-time monitoring with a variety of notification methods.

IdeaStor 7000R is a powerful yet affordable Storage Area Network (SAN) disk array utilizing inexpensive SATA disk technology. These high-density storage subsystems combine unprecedented reliability with extreme scalability, superior performance and affordability.

Ideastor 7000R can be configured with dual-redundant, active/active or active/passive RAID controllers. It has hot-swappable redundant power supplies and cooling fan and dual Fibre Channel host interfaces per controller. These two FC interfaces are routed through an onboard hub to four SFP modules, of which two can connect to external host computers and two can connect to another RAID subsystem for expansion purposes. The embedded hub on the FC host channels eliminates the need for an external FC switch when connecting the disk array to external host computers.

IdeaStor 7000R features a firmware-embedded Java based GUI RAID manager. Centralized management of multiple arrays is possible over in-band or Ethernet connection. Real-time event notification is effected over Email, LAN broadcast, or SNMP traps.

Ideastor Storage Servers - incorporating FalconStor IPStor technology

IdeaStor SS is turnkey, cost-effective Network Storage Server Appliance designed to deliver continuous data availability and centralized storage management for Windows, NetWare, or Linux hosts using SAN connections over iSCSI or Fibre Channel, and NAS connections using CIFS (SMB) or NFS.
